@iLabAfrica offers the Neurodivergents in Tech program which is a pioneering training aimed at young adults with neurodivergent conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Sensory Processing Disorders (SPD), and Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD).
The program recognizes the untapped potential of Neurodiverse individuals in the technology sector and seeks to empower them by offering comprehensive IT skills training in areas such as Web development, Game Development, Graphics Design and Animation, Robotics, and Soft skills, among others.
The program aims to uplift and enhance the skills of these young Neurodivergent students by leveraging their unique strengths, including exceptional attention to detail, innovative thinking, resilience, determination and a remarkable aptitude for technology. Through a rigorous four-month intensive training program, @iLabAfrica aims to equip them with both technical expertise and essential employability skills.
The ultimate goal is to create an inclusive environment where neurodivergent individuals are valued and employed based on their talents, diverse perspectives, and the skills they acquire during their training.
