The Huawei ICT Competition is a global skills contest for college and university students, now in its 10th edition in Kenya. It is free and open to all students nationwide. The Competition equips participants with cutting-edge skills in AI, cloud computing, networking, cybersecurity, 5G, IoT, and more. Through team challenges and labs, students apply these technologies to solve real-world problems.
Participants gain industry-recognized certifications (Huawei’s HCIA→HCIE career ladder) and international exposure. Winners advance to regional and global finals (for example, Kenyan teams recently won top prizes in Shenzhen, China). Past competitors have even secured jobs at Huawei – as one winner noted, “the competition helped me build a bond with Huawei and motivated me to keep learning”.
